As we are getting ready to welcome L.E, I’ve been put on bed rest at home (for seven weeks). Nothing like being bored out of your mind, will teach you a valuable lesson. Listen to the professionals! It might be YOUR body, but follow their orders. Seriously.

So I’ve decided that the last seven weeks, I will follow all the orders I get from the doctors and midwives. So today I did as little as possible. Or… That’s actually a lie. I ended up baking a cake.
Lately my cravings have changed, I always crave salad, so that’s a safe one. But the past three days I’ve been craving chocolate sheet cake. And being me, I made it.
The recipe is so simple!
Chocolate sheet cake:
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
1 and 2/4 cups of brown sugar
1 and 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 and 1/4 tsp baking soda
2 and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup warm water
1 cup buttermilk
4/4 cups chocolate powder.
Frosting:
1 and 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
2/4 cups chocolate powder
1/4 cold water

Heat your oven to 185°c and add a baking sheet to a tray.
In a bowl add all the ingredients, and mix them with a wooden spoon, you actually don’t need an electronic mixer for this one. We want to add some air to it.
Once they are well combined, add the mixture to the tray and put it in the oven for about 30 minutes. Check on it after 30 by stabbing it with a knife, just to see if it’s done
When it’s done, take it out and cool.
Let it cool all the way down and add the frosting.
Yay cake!
