Private or public school?

Private or public school?

School, why am I even thinking about that? Well, yesterday Dines and I made the important decision to register Castiel at private school. But not just any private school, Bjørns International School! I went there until 4th grade and I carry a torch for that school. Dines did his normal research, as he does for everything. But in the end, he agreed, B.I.S would be the best place for Castiel. Thank you Dines for letting our son register for admission to the best school ever. And people are wondering “Why? He is only 18 months?” — exactly! We are actually 18 months late because we couldn’t decide.

Private school isn’t the same as public school. Here you have to register your child as soon as birth because the wait list is long. And B.I.S only takes ten new students a year, so it might be four years before he has to go to school, but be damned. I’m not the one that’s going to screw up Castiels education. Not that I’m saying public school is crap. I just prefer private school, mostly international. When you have to register for public school, I think it’s a year before or something. No idea, didn’t feel like reading into it because either way, Castiel will be going to private school. Or Virum school that Dines went to. I think, and I have the support of Dines, that Castiel will benefit best from private school.

So in February Dines and I are going to look at the school, likely we live 20 minutes away, and that’s walking. But what about in four years time? Who knows if we will be on Østerbro or Virum? Time will tell.
